Temporary Lane Closures Rescheduled for Shentel Work (Jan. 19 - Feb. 5)

Due to project related delays, the temporary lane closures originally scheduled for Monday, December 21, 2020 through Friday, January 22, 2021 have been rescheduled as follows:

Beginning Tuesday, January 19 and continuing through Friday, February 5 daily and weather permitting (including weekends), 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., temporary lane closures will occur at the following locations to accommodate Shentel crews performing aerial, trenching and directional drilling work for line installations:

12th Street

Berkshire Place

Edgewood Avenue

Fenwick Drive

Fifth Street

Fort Avenue

Glenfield Drive

Harding Street

Igloe Drive

Lyndale Place

McKinney Avenue

Monroe Street

Park Avenue

Sangloe Place

Sheffield Drive

This work is also scheduled to take place along Wards Road and near Candlers Mountain Road on the above-referenced dates; however, the work at these locations will be conducted between 8:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m.

Motorists should expect minor delays and use caution while traveling through the work zones, be alert to the changes in traffic patterns and obey temporary signage. Emergency vehicles will have access at all times.
