Sewer Lining Rehabilitation Scheduled (beginning Jan. 25)
Beginning Monday, January 25 and continuing for approximately 45 days, weekdays and during daylight hours, Lynchburg Water Resources will work with a contractor to rehabilitate approximately 7,000 linear feet of sanitary/storm sewer pipes throughout the City via trenchless cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) flexible liner installation methods. The purpose of the project is to protect and improve Lynchburg’s sewer system while helping prevent costly sewer backups, overflows and digging repairs that can result if left unmaintained.
Crews will follow social distancing guidelines established by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and have been instructed on how to perform their work in order to minimize exposure to COVID-19.
Work will take place on properties at the following locations:
Apache Lane |
Northwood Circle |
Residents may see crews accessing the sewer system through manholes and inlets on or near their property. There should be no disturbance of property or impacts to traffic. For more information, call Lynchburg Water Resources at (434) 455-4250.
