    Lynchburg Public Library (Main Branch) Reopens Oct. 1

    On Thursday, October 1, the Lynchburg Public Library, located at 2315 Memorial Avenue, will reopen to the public. Library hours will be Monday through Saturday, 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. with extended hours on Tuesdays until 7:00 p.m. A limited number of public computers will be available.
     
    During the weekdays (Monday through Friday), the period of 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. will be reserved for seniors and at-risk individuals only. 
     
    Library patrons are asked to observe the following guidelines:
     
    Masks are required for patrons ages three and older.
    Practice physical distancing and frequent hand washing/hand sanitizing.
    Limit library visits to one hour per day.
    Limit parties to five people or fewer. 
     
    Curbside service is still available at the Main Library, Monday through Saturday, 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. 
     
    The Downtown Branch Library, located in City Hall, remains closed at this time.
