    LPL GROWS SEED LIBRARY LAUNCHES
    Monday, March 1
    Free for adult use

    The Adult Services Department is excited to launch the LPL Grows Seed Library. Membership is free! During open hours at the Library, browse the available vegetable, herb and flower seed packets to start a garden. Members are encouraged to save seeds to return to the Library at the end of the growing season; however, it is not required.     SPRING STORYTIME ONLINE 
    Wednesday, March 3, 10:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.
    For kids of all ages and their families

    Video will premiere on the Library’s Facebook page.

    Kids and families, join us for a fun storytime, celebrating the season of spring. This fun family event will feature stories, songs and more, presented by three members of the Youth Services Department. (Note: The video will be available on the Library’s Facebook page during the month of March.)

    STEAM (For Kids Ages 8-12) on Zoom
    Mondays, March 8, March 22 and April 5
    10:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.

    Kids ages 8-12 are invited to join in for engaging and educational virtual STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art & Math) programs! Each session will feature lessons and experiments that can be followed along using household items. NOTE: Registration is required. Call the Youth Services Department at (434) 455-6320 for the Zoom link and passcode to be emailed.
     

    CHAPTER CHAT: BOOK CLUB ON ZOOM
    Second Tuesday of Each Month: March 9, April 13, May 11, June 8 and July 13
    7:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
    For adult readers

    Adult book readers are invited to join the Chapter Chat Book Club on Zoom, hosted by the Friends of the Lynchburg Public Library. Each month, a member of Friends will join a Lynchburg Public Library staff member to discuss a selected monthly book. Everyone is welcome, and finishing the book is not required. It is the club’s desire to remain focused through a light and informal discussion in a safe and supportive environment. For more information, to register and get the Zoom link, click here.
