Handicap Parking - Central Business District
A person displaying a handicap parking placard or license plate may park in a 30 minute, 1 hour or 2 hour zone for a full day. They may also park in a metered parking space in any of our city owned parking facilities. They may not park in a zone that requires a permit. If a person does not have a handicap placard they must abide by the signage.
Parking a vehicle in a space reserved for persons with disabilities without the placard or license plate shall be punishable by a fine of $250.
Parking a vehicle using a placard that has expired is also punishable by a fine of $250.
Anyone displaying someone else' placard is punishable by a fine of $250.
