Lynchburg, VA, 24th Judicial Circuit of Virginia
The Circuit Court is the trial court that exercises the broadest powers in Virginia. The court handles a myriad of cases to include serious cases called felonies; any case appealed from the General District Court and Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court; family matters, including divorce; and all civil matters involving more than $25,000. The court also shares authority with the General District Court to hear matters involving claims between $4,500 and $25,000.
