Emergency Management

The Department of Emergency Services houses Lynchburg's Emergency Operations Center (EOC). Department members provide command and control support through the EOC to on-scene incident command during disaster situations. Department members also oversee the City’s Emergency Operations Plan and provide the community with risk assessments and emergency preparedness information to help mitigate disasters that may occur in the future.
