The City of Lynchburg has teamed up with the Virginia Department of Health and other community partners to provide information about the COVID-19 vaccine. Please check back often as more information is added regularly.
Who is currently eligible for the vaccine?
Virginia is currently vaccinating those in Phase 1B.
Why is it taking so long?
We share your disappointment and frustration. Supply is limited and demand is high.
Will everyone get it?
Yes! Everyone who wants the vaccine will eventually receive it. We are all working together to get our community vaccinated.
How can I sign up?
Visit https://vax.preregister.virginia.gov/ to register. Those unable to complete the form online are encouraged to have someone they know complete the form for them. You may also call the CVHD Call Center, at (434) 477-5965 and follow the voicemail instructions. Due to the high call volume, you will not receive a call back for confirmation.
What should I do in the meantime?
Continue to wear a mask, wash your hands, and practice social distancing. Keep checking our website for updates.
When can I Receive the COVID-19 Vaccine?
Right now, the Virginia Department of Health has a timeline and is working diligently to vaccinate our community as quickly and efficiently as possible.
