Construction for the removal of the existing retaining wall at the College Hill Water Treatment Facility, located at 525 Taylor Street, has begun and will be followed by the construction of a new retaining wall at the same location. This project will continue for approximately five months, Monday – Saturday, 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. daily and weather permitting.
During this time, the 1400 block of Sixth Street (from Fillmore Street to Floyd Street) will be closed to through traffic; however, residents and emergency vehicles will have access at all times. In addition, the 600 block of Fillmore Street will be reduced to one lane. Motorists should be alert to the changes in traffic patterns and obey temporary signage.
