Child Care Services

Child Care Services are child-centered, family-focused services that support the family goals of economic self sufficiency and child development by providing for the supervision, protection and education of children while parents are participating in employment activities. Parents, including recipients of TANF, are encouraged to become and remain employed, or prepare for employment through education and job training.

The Child Care Program offers subsidy to provide low-income families with financial resources to find and afford quality child care. Consumer education is offered to help parents make informed choices about child care. Children may receive care in child care centers and family child care homes.
