    Absentee Voting

    The Virginia Department of Elections encourages voters to protect their health during COVID-19 outbreak. Voting absentee in the coming June U.S. Senate Republican Primary election is strongly encouraged. Voters may choose reason 2A for Absentee voting in the June 2020 election due to COVID-19. Voters who choose the absentee option should do so as soon as possible so they can get their ballots in time to return them by mail by Election Day.

    Deadlines

    Notice to voters using US mail service: Current USPS delivery standards for First Class mail is 2-5 days. Take this into consideration, and allow ample time to apply for and mail-in your ballot so that it is received by the Office of Elections by Election Day at 7:00 p.m.
    Application for a ballot to be mailed must be received in our office via fax, email, or mail Tuesday, June 16, 2020 at 5:00 p.m.
    Ballots must be received to be counted Election Day – Tuesday, June 23, 2020 at 7:00 p.m.

    Dates

    In-person absentee voting runs from: Friday May 8, 2020 to Saturday June 20, 2020 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
    In-person absentee voting Saturday June 20, 2020 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
    You will complete your absentee ballot application when you come to vote.
