    After applying, you can check to see if your absentee application was received and whether your ballot was sent and received by going to the state Citizen Portal.
     

    PUBLIC NOTICE Ballot Drop off Locations and Early Voting person, early voting will be available beginning September 18 and will continue, Monday through Friday, until Friday October 30, from 9:00-5:00.  The office will be open on Saturday, October 24 and Saturday October 31, from 9:00-5:00.  Located at the following address 825 Kemper Street, Suite A, Lynchburg. 


    Ballot drop boxes

    Completed ballots may be

    1. Mailed to our mailing address P.O. Box 10036, Lynchburg, VA 24506

    2. Dropbox ballot location in-person at the physical address 825 Kemper Street, Suite A. Staff will be available to come to your car curbside for you to drop your ballot in the secure dropbox.  Ballot dropbox will be available the same dates, times, and locations listed above for in-person, early voting. 

    3. Dropped off at your precinct in a precinct ballot drop box. Please look for signs indicating the location of the drop box within the precinct. Voters dropping off vote by mail ballots do not need to stand in line with in-person voters.

    Notice to voters using US mail service: Current USPS delivery standards for First Class mail is 2-5 days. Take this into consideration, and allow ample time to apply for and mail-in your ballot so that it is received by the Office of Elections by noon Friday November 6, 2020. 
    Application for a ballot to be mailed must be received in our office via fax, email, or mail Friday October 23, 2020 at 5:00 P.M..
    Ballots must be received to be counted Postmarked Election Day – and received by Friday November 6, 2020 by noon.

    Dates

    In-person early voting begins Friday September 18, 2020 Monday through Friday 9 A.M.. to 5:00 P.M.. and ending Saturday October 31, 2020.
    In-person early voting Saturday availability Saturday October  24 and October 31 from 9:00 A.M.. to 5:00 P.M.. 
    You must provide your name and address and show an acceptable form of ID or sign an ID Confirmation Statement
