Billings & Collections Office, Teller Windows & Utility Billing to Temporarily Close

Billing Teller Window

Beginning Monday, February 5 and continuing for approximately three months, the City of Lynchburg’s Division of Billings and Collections office, teller windows and Utility Billing, located in the main lobby of City Hall, 900 Church Street will temporarily close to the public in order to accommodate office construction and renovations.

During the week of February 5, staff will temporarily be relocated in City Hall. It is anticipated operations will resume on Monday, February 12; however, the office, teller windows and Utility Billing will remain closed until constructions and renovations are completed.

The public is encouraged to make payments using one of the City’s self-service payment kiosks (located at City Hall, 900 Church Street, 10th Street side; Lynchburg Public Library, 2315 Memorial Avenue; or River Ridge Mall, 3405 Candlers Mountain Road near the Regal River Ridge cinema complex). Payments may also be made online, mailed to P.O. Box 9000, Lynchburg, VA 24505 or placed in the drop box located at the City Hall kiosk. 

While the office, teller windows and Utility Billing windows are closed, residents may continue to contact Billings and Collections at 434.455.3850 and Utility Billing at 434.455.3840. Upon request, staff will still be available to meet with residents to answer questions or address concerns.
