Handicap Parking

A person displaying a handicapped parking placard or license plate may park in a 30-minute, 1-hour, or 2-hour zone for a full day. They may also park in a metered parking space in any of our city-owned parking facilities. They may not park in a zone that requires a permit. If a person does not have a handicap placard they must abide by the signage.

  • Parking a vehicle in a space reserved for persons with disabilities without a placard or license plate shall be punishable by a fine of $250.
  • Parking a vehicle using a placard that has expired is also punishable by a fine of $250.
  • Anyone displaying someone else' placard is punishable by a fine of $250.
