The Procurement Division is responsible for the acquisition of all goods and services, including professional services and construction for the City of Lynchburg and Lynchburg City Schools.

The Procurement Division's mission is to enhance the quality of life of the people of Lynchburg. To accomplish our Mission we: Ensure the integrity of the process; maintain the highest ethical standards; support and enhance the quality of services to the public and City Departments; satisfy the current needs of the community and departments while planning for the future; deliver the maximum value for the tax dollar; respect the diverse needs and contributions of all who participate in the process; work effectively as a Team.

Sales Visits

Vendors wanting to visit with Procurement Staff are encouraged to make an appointment by calling 434-455-3970. Sales visits to other departments are permissible, however, those departments will need to be called individually. Appointments for other departments are not coordinated through this office. Vendors may leave literature for all departments with the Procurement Office for distribution to other City departments.
