Sec. 25-248. Ownership of vehicle inference.
In any prosecution charging a violation of any parking prohibition or restriction ordinance, regulation or rule, proof that the vehicle described in the complaint, summons or warrant was parked in violation of such ordinance, regulation or rule, together with proof that the defendant was at the time of such parking the registered owner of the vehicle, as required by Code of Virginia, Chapter 3 (Section 46.2-1220 et seq.) shall constitute in evidence a permissible inference that such registered owner of the vehicle was the person who parked the vehicle at the place where, and for the time during which, such violation occurred.
