Sec. 25-105. Purchasing, etc., vehicle from vendor who does not have certificate of title.
Any person who shall purchase, trade, exchange or barter for a motor vehicle, trailer or semitrailer in this city, knowing or having reason to believe that the vendor thereof has not secured a certificate of title, or knowing or having reason to believe that the vendor thereof does not legally have in his possession a certificate of title therefor issued to the owner thereof, except as otherwise provided in this chapter, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be punished as provided in section 25-3.
