The City of Lynchburg wants to hear from you, and to make it easier, a brand new online tool, “Lynchburg is Listening,” is being launched.  “Lynchburg is Listening” gives residents the opportunity to be heard through online discussions on projects, informal surveys, and posting of ideas through an easy-to-use interface.  This new application will also help facilitate ideas among members of the community.

On July 23, 2013, the State Board of Elections (SBE), in partnership with the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV), launched online voter registration as a result of recently enacted legislation sponsored by Delegate David Ramadan (HB2341). Eligible citizens of the Commonwealth are now able to submit a voter registration application or update their registration information online.

The Lynchburg Public Library is currently conducting a survey to ask the community what type of library and library services it wishes to have. The survey includes questions about the type of changes patrons would like to see at the Library, what services they use, and other questions directed at individuals who currently do not use the Library.

Lynchburg City Council's meetings are broadcast live most second and fourth Tuesdays of each month. The meetings are also recorded so that you can watch any previous meeting as well as selectively watch certain parts of the meeting agenda.
