    Personal Property Tax Installment Deadline Extended to Dec. 6

    President Donald Trump has declared Wednesday, December 5 as a National Day of Mourning in memory of the passing of the late President George H. W. Bush.  All federal offices, including the United States Post Office, will be closed.
    In consideration of this closure, the City of Lynchburg is extending the due date for the Personal Property Tax installment payment. The installment is now due by Thursday, December 6. A 10% penalty will be assessed if payment for the personal property tax is not postmarked by December 6.
