On Thursday, April 25 at 4:00 p.m., the Lynchburg Public Library, 2315 Memorial Avenue, in celebration of Garden Week, will host Master Gardener Susan Timmons who will give a presentation on “Native Plants for Sustainable Gardens.”
Ms. Timmons will describe how culture affects our choice of plants in gardens and the effects of these choices on ecosystems. Comparing native plants to exotics, she will explain how natives are necessary for our pollinators and bio-diversity. She will also offer tips for creating a sustainable landscape.
This presentation will take place in the Community Meeting Room and is free and open to the public.
