    Library Cards for County Residents

On Tuesday, July 8, 2014, the Lynchburg City Council voted to remove the non-resident fee for library cards. People living in the surrounding counties can now apply for a Lynchburg Library card for free. A picture ID and address verification will still be needed for the application.

The fee was dropped as recommended by a consulting firm advising the city and counties in the ongoing study to establish a regional library. For more information about the regional library, please see the article Lynchburg City Council votes to drop non-resident fee for libraries, written by Justin Faulconer, in the July 9, 2014 edition of the News and Advance.
