Beginning Monday, May 21 and continuing through Friday, August 3, construction and repairs to the parking deck located adjacent to Holiday Inn Select at 601 Main Street will take place. Work will include concrete repairs to the deck and stairway, expansion joints repairs and general maintenance such as painting railings and pressure washing. The parking deck is owned by the City of Lynchburg and leased by the hotel.
Work will begin on the lower two floors of the deck and the stairway closest to Holiday Inn. This work will require a temporary closure of the Main Street entrance to the deck for two consecutive days, Tuesday, May 29 and Wednesday, May 30. Digital signage is in place directing motorists. The parking deck will remain open during this time; however, patrons will have to access the deck via the Church Street entrance.
