    City Council to Conduct Public Hearing (Jan. 14)

    The Lynchburg City Council will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, January 14 at 7:30 p.m. in the Council Chamber, First Floor, City Hall, 900 Church Street, to receive citizen comments on whether or not the City should become a Second Amendment Sanctuary City. 
     
    If the Council Chamber reaches capacity, overflow seating will be available in the Second Floor Conference Room in City Hall and at the Lynchburg Regional Business Alliance, 300 Lucado Place to view the Council meeting on LTV, Comcast Channel 15.
     
    For those with mobility issues, City Hall is accessible from either the Ninth or Tenth Street entrances. The Tenth Street entrance has a lift accessible from the alley immediately behind City Hall. 
     
    The City Council meeting will be televised on LTV and streamed live on Facebook. 
     
    Speakers who wish to address City Council regarding this matter may sign up to speak before the beginning of the meeting. A sign-up sheet will be available beginning at 6:00 p.m. in the lobby of City Hall, and citizens who sign up will need to provide their name and locality of residency and whether they are speaking as an individual or representing a group. Individuals will be given three (3) minutes to speak and speakers representing a group will be given five (5) minutes to speak.
