Fifth St Phase II
The Fifth Street Phase II project encompasses streetscaping and a utility project that covers waterline, stormline and sanitary sewer lines along with improvements to the sidewalks, curbs & gutter and handicapped ramps. The project will include restoring the nostalgic bricks back into the old neighborhood look and feel. There will be several tree plantings to soften the hardscape. This project will also add additional parking areas to businesses along the Fifth Street Corridor.
The existing utilities in this area are over 100 years old, which is a large part of the reason for the improvements.
The project limits are from Harrison Street to Main Street along the Fifth Street corridor and is expected to last until June 2013.
