Library Volunteer Opportunities

You are invited to join our growing group of dedicated volunteers! By sharing your time and talent with us, you can make a big difference in the quality of library services in our community. Our volunteers range in age from 13 to 80. Some do short term projects, and some have been here since the volunteer program started in 1995.

Volunteers work side by side with staff in many library activities. Typical volunteer tasks are:

  • sorting gift materials
  • searching for books
  • labeling paperbacks
  • shelf-reading
  • assisting with children's programs
  • preparing craft materials
  • computer data entry
  • computer searching
  • sorting books
  • preparing outreach materials
