The Lynchburg City Stadium complex is a wonderful venue for businesses, sports teams and event planners looking for a centrally located, large space. With lots of parking and attractive, newly renovated facilities the Lynchburg City Stadium Complex is a great place for team practices and games, large company picnics and other events. The stadium may be rented through the City of Lynchburg Parks and Recreation Department throughout the year. Fans watching Hill Cat's game.


Calvin Falwell field is named in honor of local businessman and baseball enthusiast, Calvin Falwell. The baseball side of the stadium is the home of the Carolina League 2003 Championship Lynchburg Hillcats, affiliated with the Cincinnati Reds.

 

The football side of the City Stadium complex is primarily used by Heritage and E.C. Glass high schools for athletic events.  In addition, the football stadium is used for other sports tournaments. 

The City Stadium Complex is located at 3180 Fort Avenue in the Fort Avenue neighborhood. There are 700-800 marked parking spaces, with a limited number of additional grass and street spaces available. Bleachers can seat audiences of up to 10,000. The facility includes two press boxes as well as a scoreboard, natural turf grass field and gravel track.
