Online Registration First to Know
The City of Lynchburg, Department of Parks and Recreation is pleased to offer to offer you our online registration system that gives you the flexibility to register for activities 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with no additional cost to you.
The Online Registration System is a simple, secure and convenient program which allows you to browse an online brochure and enroll in selected recreational classes and activities. Payments can be made by credit card at any time, anywhere a computer with Internet access is available.
Waiver
A signed wavier is required before participating in any class or activity provided by Lynchburg Parks and Recreation Department. All participants are required to sign the waiver at the beginning of the first session of the class or activity. Participants under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian sign the waiver at the beginning of the first session. Please click here to review the required waiver.
Scholarship Program
The purpose of our scholarship program is to make Parks and Recreation activities, classes and camps affordable to Lynchburg City residents of all ages who have financial need. Scholarship must be approved prior to online registration. To find out more about our scholarship program click here.
Registration
With just a few clicks you will be ready to experience Online Registration and all the benefits it has to offer.
When entering addresses, make sure to use the standard abbreviation for the street suffix, i.e. Street = St, Avenue = Ave, Road = Rd, Place = Pl, Court = Ct, Drive = Dr. Do not add punctuation after any abbreviation.
Also, if you live on a numbered street, i.e.; 1, 2, 3, 15, etc., do not spell out the street, i.e.; First, Second, Third, Fifteenth, but use numbers, i.e.; 1st St, 2nd St, 3rd St, 15th St. If you do not follow these rules, the program will assume you are not a city resident and will charge you the nonresident rate.
The online account must be in the name of the credit card holder.

NEW USERS
Registering for activities is easy. New users will need to create an online account.
• Click on the button NEW USER
• Enter your information (fields with * are required) and click SUBMIT
• Select CONTINUE at the ACCOUNT CONFIRMATION screen
USER ACCOUNT
Your online account is a powerful tool. It allows you to view activity information, change personal information, add family members to your account, register for activities and make payments. To log into your account.
• Click on the button LOGIN
• Enter USERNAME and case-sensitive PASSWORD
• Click CONTINUE
FINDING AN ACTIVITY
Finding activities available for online registration is simple. Here are some hints on searching
• Click on the button SEARCH FOR ACTIVITIES
• Narrow the search list by changing the LOCATION or CATEGORY
• Use ADVANCED SEARCH to locate an activity by a keyword like JAZZ (searches are not case sensitive)
ADDING YOUR ACTIVITY TO YOUR CART
Once you have made your activity selection it is time to add them to your shopping cart.
• Click on the name of the activity you have selected
• In the ACTIVITY DETAIL screen confirm activity information is correct
• Select ADD TO CART
CHECKING OUT
• Click on the button CART
• Verify all information in the SHOPPING CART, then click CHECKOUT
• Click CONTINUE at the PARTICIPANT INFORMATION screen
• Click CONTINUE at the CONFIRM PRICES screen
• Provide credit card information on the PAYMENT INFORMATION screen
• Click CONTINUE to complete order
