    37-107. Inspection generally; procedure in case of inaccuracy.
     
    Taximeters shall be subject to inspection from time to time by the department of public safety. Any inspector or other officer of such department or any officer designated by the city manager, may either on complaint of any person or without such complaint, inspect any such taximeter and, upon discovery of any inaccuracy therein, shall notify the person operating such taxicab to cease operation. Thereupon, such taxicab shall be kept off the streets until the taximeter is repaired and in the required working condition or until such taximeter has been replaced in the taxicab by a properly working taximeter.
